Healthy snacks at breaktime

A reminder about healthy breaktime snacks, as food standards in schools are set to become stricter.

You may have seen on the news that food standards in schools are changing. From next September, the rules around food in schools will be stricter and focused on building lifelong healthy eating habits.

This feels like the right time to remind families that we promote healthy snacks at breaktime. Children in Reception and Key Stage 1 are given fruit, and we encourage all Key Stage 2 pupils to bring in a piece of fruit.

Chocolate, crisps, biscuits and cereal bars are not permitted at breaktime. Thank you for your support.
