Uniform policy update

Our updated uniform policy, approved by governors, is now on the parent area of the website.

Our updated uniform policy has been approved by governors and is now available on the School Uniform page, with a full uniform list at the back. A few points to note:

  • Earrings are not to be worn for PE. Our strong preference is that earrings are taken out before school on PE days. If not, children can take them out at school themselves (staff are not permitted to remove them, and the school cannot be responsible for earrings lost at school). If earrings cannot be removed, teachers may adapt activities to reduce the risk of injury. This does not mean missing PE.
  • Watches are allowed, but not smart watches (see our Mobile Phone policy), and should be taken off for PE lessons and clubs.
  • Make-up, including nail varnish, and false nails should not be worn in school.

Staff carry out regular checks and will remind pupils or parents in the first instance. Requests for reasonable adjustments on religious or cultural grounds should be made in writing to the Principal, and requests linked to a pupil's needs or disability should be made in writing to the SENCO.
