We have loved welcoming new faces and returning families back to The Flitch Green Academy for the 2026-27 school year. It has been a really positive start to the term, and pupils across the school have shown they are ready to learn.

Our new Reception children have settled in well and are taking everything in their stride. After only a few days back, there was already lots to celebrate in Friday's assembly, with pupils showing our school values in action.

Our celebration of the week went to everyone for being so respectful when putting away scooters and bikes each morning. It is a bike shed to be proud of!

Coming up this month

• Meet the teacher sessions for every class during the week of 7 September
• A Reception reading and phonics cafe for parents and carers on 16 September, and a Key Stage 1 phonics cafe on 22 September
• The Friends of Flitch Green Colour Run after school on Friday 25 September
