Reception: people who help us

Mrs Paulson playing guitar and sharing harvest songs with Reception

Reception welcomed visitors from the community, reached 20 phonics sounds and enjoyed a very wet Forest Area adventure.

What an exciting couple of weeks in Reception! Apple and Beech classes have been learning about families and the people who help us in our community, through the stories Five Minutes' Peace and Supertato.

We were lucky to welcome some special visitors. Mrs Paulson shared harvest songs and talked about her beliefs, and two police officers showed the children their hats, jackets and even their handcuffs!

The children have now learned an amazing 20 sounds, and some have started bringing home books with words. Well done! In Maths, they have been exploring 4 and more, including knocking down bowling pins and comparing who has more.

Our Forest Area adventure was very wet, but the children loved being outside and exploring in all weathers.
