Year 2 topped off a busy few weeks with a fantastic trip to Stansted Mountfitchet Castle.

Hazel Class have been learning about castles in History and Geography this term, and the visit was a brilliant way to bring that learning to life. At the Norman motte and bailey castle, the children explored the grounds, found out what life was like in medieval times, and discussed which jobs they would love and which they would detest!

Back in the classroom, they have been testing which elastic is the stretchiest, ready to build their very own catapults. A perfect link to castle life!
