Year 6 roles, Reception buddies and a new music assembly

Year 6 pupils have taken on new roles around school, our Reception buddies have been a wonderful support, and Pink kicked off our new midweek music assembly.
There has been a real buzz around The Flitch Green Academy in our first full week back.
Year 6 pupils have applied for, and been appointed to, a range of roles around the school. Our Year 6 buddies were also our celebration of the week, for being a wonderful support and influence on our new Reception children.
Lots of reading certificates were handed out in assembly, and visitors to school this week were impressed by how calm our pupils are and how enthusiastic they are about learning.
Thank you to Miss Wright for launching our new midweek music assembly. Key Stage 2 were introduced to the music and lyrics of Pink. Many children had a little boogie and reflected on the meaning of the songs, and some have already suggested artists they would like to learn about next!
A big thank you, too, to our parents and carers for your kindness and generosity in donating resources to classes. Our teachers have been putting them to great use.
