We need you: Class Reps

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to be a Class Rep. We're nearly there, and just need volunteers for four classes.

This year we've introduced Class Representatives: one parent volunteer for each class, who helps pass on class-specific messages from school. A big thank you to everyone who has already put their name forward.

For this to work, every class needs a rep. We're still looking for volunteers for:

  • Apple (Reception)
  • Beech (Reception)
  • Elm (Years 1 and 2)
  • Spruce (Years 5 and 6)

What does a Class Rep do?

Class Reps work with their class teacher and keep their class WhatsApp group up to date. This could mean:

  • passing on a teacher's request for a particular resource
  • sharing what the class is learning about and might need
  • letting parents know about something just for that class
  • helping to keep the class Amazon Wish List up to date, so parents know what's needed and which children it's helping

The role is separate from Friends of Flitch Green, who will carry on looking after fundraising, events and community activities as usual.

How it works

  • One rep per class, on a first come, first served basis
  • Reps commit for one academic year
  • The role rotates each year, so other parents get a chance during their child's time at The Flitch Green Academy

Can you help?

If your child is in Apple, Beech, Elm or Spruce and you'd like to be their Class Rep, email Laura Lilley, Community Governor, at laura.lilley@flitchgreen.net. Include your name and your child's class. If you have any questions first, just get in touch.

Thank you for your support.
