Starting school is a big milestone, and we know it can feel both exciting and a little overwhelming. This page has been created to bring together everything you need in one place, so you feel confident and prepared for September.

Children and parents are invited to spend time in EYFS, meet new friends and explore the learning environment before September.

Home Visits
These visits are a lovely opportunity for our EYFS team to meet your child in a familiar environment and help support a smooth transition into school life.

โAppointments for home visits are very limited. You will be notified of the date and time of your home visit by email. If you are unable to attend the scheduled appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. We may not be able to provide an alternative date.

Your Child's First Week
Reception children join school on a phased basis during their first week. Please note the different drop-off, pick-up times and arrangements for each day.

Wednesday 2nd September | 8:45am - 11:50am | Drop off at EYFS playground gate. Collect from school office. |
Thursday 3rd September | 8:45am - 1:00pm | Children stay for lunch. Parents invited to join for lunch 12โ1pm. Collect from school office. |
Friday 4th September | 8:45am - 3.00pm | Gate opens for older children's parents at 3:15pm. Collect from main playground gate. |
Monday 7th September onwards | 8:30am - 3:15pm | Normal school hours. Drop off & collect from main playground. Reception parents may enter playground and drop at Reception outdoor area gates. |

Uniform
Our school uniform helps children feel part of the school community and ready to learn.โโ
โThe School Day
A typical school day includes:
Drop-off: 8:30am – 8:40am
Pick-up: 3:15pm
Forest School
Children in Reception take part in weekly Forest School sessions, where they explore, play and learn outdoors. These sessions help develop confidence, independence and teamwork skills.

In Reception, learning is centred around play, exploration and discovery.
